Remote korganizer file - reading problem

For a very long time I've used a remote calendar, but in my new Mandriva 
install I have a problem.  The 'Add' dialogue is not letting me see the remote 
directories.  I've tried also attaching by means of a local mount, but that 
tells me that .kde doesn't exist.  Every method I can think of is failing, 
even though I have a permanent mount to the remote /home.

What am I missing?
