What are you missing in particular?  Gradually more and more features have 
been added and Dolphin is now very powerful.  You'll find a good guide at

Nowadays I find myself quite annoyed if I launch konqueror by accident, as it 
lacks several of the features that I've come to love.

I'm not sure whether it's possible to get exiv info in Dolphin - there are 
several photo browsers that do that job.

I don't do these things myself, so I'm no expert, but digikam allows you to 
set ratings and add tags.  Can't you edit a tag there?  Amarok 2 allows 
tagging of sound files.

Highlighted, no, but in every version I've had a dotted line around the 
destination, so I could always see where I was copying or moving a message.

I don't know what's wrong there.  I just checked on my setup, changing the 
proportion and sorting by date, then closed kontact, restarted it and went 
back to akregator.  Everything was exactly as I had left it.

I've never seen showview, but there are plenty of photo viewers around.  One 
of them surely has the features you want?

This is an issue under discussion at the moment.  The usability team will make 
the final decision for future versions, I think.

That's quite simply an issue of being used to doing things one way.  Any 
change causes accidents like that until you get used to them.  It's no big 
deal.

Yes, it feels strange at first.  In fact when I first tried it I thought I was 
going to hate everything about it.  Now I wouldn't go back for anything.

Get familiar with http://userbase.kde.org - it will help you settle in more 
quickly.  In particular, study the dolphin and plasma pages.
