Keyboard problem in kde4

I found it in the gui, meanwhile.  To my surprise it was showing the 
UK-English keyboard.  When I checked, the layout is now being correctly read, 
so I assume that something required a reboot :-)

I'll remember the command 'kcmshell --list', thanks.
