Help! Microphone stopped working

Hello,

I use Debian sid with KDE, and the microphone stopped working. The sound
card is Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER.

Running alsamixer in a shell, I can set the capture to the microphone, but I
can't raise the volume of the microphone's capture.

If I go to Control Centre -> Sound & Multimedia -> Sound System -> Hardware,
and activate Full Duplex, the window "restarting sound system" stays forever
and ever.

Any ideas? Thank you.
