Command line launch vs .desktop launch

Hi All,

I have some Python+Tkinter programs for which I
created nice .desktop files. If I start a konsole and
type something like
python myprog.py
I see an immediate response.

If I click on the icon, which has an
/path/python /path/myprog.py
it will start with a certain delay, and afterward the
icon keeps jumping for many seconds.

Can I change this second behaviour (and make it like
the first)?
