Configure Kate to run script - help

Hi,

I'm trying to find a clear example on how to run a perl script in Kate. I want standard output to appear in Kate's terminal split window. 

I go to setting > configure Kate> application> external tools > Run Script> New. What do I put in there? I need an example/help. 

Using FreeBsd.
