this annoys me no end

where in the heck is kde/kmail address book kept????

I just went to post an email and the address did not auto prompt. I open 
Settings > Addressbook and it is blanko, I hit Select while doing up theis 
email and I get a very reduced list (like maybe from two years ago).

Where are email addresses stored?? Are they kept in only one place? I can put 
up with allot in linux but something as simple/important as list of email 
addreses should be easily accesses/recoverable.
