kde 3.5 crashing when loading desktop

My kde crashes for me while loading my desktop (last part of
splash-screen) and locks up my entire computer! Happens every time,
anyone have any idea what it can be?

Got ati 8.24.8 and kernel 2.6.16 (tried 2.6.14 too).

What info do you need me to get?
