.gif icons not being detected by filter

Just replace the standard patterns by typing *.gif into the filter input field 
and you'll see the gifs, if there are any.
But currently i don't know how to add the *.gif pattern to the standard 
patterns permanently..

That's because KDE supports GIF icons.
