cdrom detection using kde

hi all
  i am seeing since a long time in kde when i double click cdrom icon it
never gets opened but in gnome it gets and i can access my data,but in
kde i have to go to the commnad prompt and do it.can anyone tell me wht
has to be done to solve this problem.also in fc4 there is no eject
option.
