kio_help

OS : opensuse 10.1

recently installed and decided to use KDE rather than gnome --- seemed
to be better polished here.

kio_help will not load (klauncher error)

did a find for kio_help, added its directory to /etc/ld.so.conf and ran
ldconfig

ldconfig -p does not show the '.so' for kio_help  in the ld cache and
the online help still fails

?? is the shared object bad or am I missing something
