Thanks for your reply, Eventually I found this bug documented in: 
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109234

I guess in later versions this was resolved however, I use Gentoo. I 
wold like to keep the integrity of my system therefore I would like to 
use portage (Gentoo packaging system) for installation but the one 
currently available is KDE 3.5Alpha1. I think I should better wait for 
the more stable version then.
