Either with ksnapshot (an application) as SnapafunFrank
has said, or with the following shortcuts:
Alt + Printscreen: Screenshot of a single window
Ctrl + Printscreen: Screenshot of the complete desktop
The shortcuts copy the screenshot to the clipboard.
Pasting them with Ctrl + V
- to a Konqueror window displaying your home directory (to save it)
or
- to the mail composer in KMail (to attach it to the mail)
works very nicely.
