shell script running problem

Hi everybody.

I have a problem running an icon at desktop that point's to a program.
I have an icon that runs xawtv.
I have a script xawtvrun that disables screensaver and then runs xawtv. When I 
close the application it enables screensaver back. Something like:

scrsv off
xawtv
scrsv on

It works just great. But when I click it xawtv runs and hour-glass appears on 
the toolbar, and disappears after about 0.5 minute.
Is there any possibility to avoid it??? I prefer eye-friendly icon rather than 
rounding over and over hour-glass :-)
