Kplayer or Kaffeine

I guess that is a matter of preference.

I for example use KMPlayer as a front end for mplayer (it can us xine as well 
AFAIK) mostly in its form as a plugin for Konqueror.

Usually use mplayer on commandline without any GUI for video files :)
