how to change setting from kde3.3 to kde 3.4

how to change shortkut settings and other setting of other packages from
home directory folder .kde3.3 to home diretory folder .kde3.4 directly
i hav uninstalled kde 3.3 and installed kde 3.4 and want to regain all
the previous setting automatically. Can this be done. Also i am only being 
able to boot up kde 3.4 as root and not as normal user. It gives error
as could not start kdeinit.
Please help.
