Disabling navigation in kate's terminal

How do I dissable automatic navigation in kate's terminal ? that is, when I 
choose a file, I don't want kate to cd to its directory.
That's because I may not be running just bash anymore, in my case, I'm often 
running the slate[1] interpreter.
