Strange thing with PNG images @ PPC (and, probably also SPARC and other BE-architectures)

I guess there is something broken in PNG handling in QT/'KDE. 
Image http://www.culm.net/candleico.png in konqueror at PPC looks this way: 
http://www.culm.net/ppc-broken.png
But, the same image without transparency, 
(http://www.culm.net/candleico-2.png ) looks just fine. Also, original image 
opened in kuickshow looks fine.
The same thing happens in KControl - http://www.culm.net/ppc-broken1.png.

Qt: 3.3.3
KDE: 3.2.3
Konqueror: 3.2.3
KDE Control Center: 3.2.3
KuickShow: 0.8.6
