No KDE 3.3 from Mandrake?

If you want it modified for the Mandrake menus, you are out of luck.

In general, I would suggest SuSE unless you want to try to build from source.
You can try Konstruct and you have at least a 90% chance that it will work, but
if it doesn't there aren't any easy fixes.

I would suggest that you uninstall the current version before installing the new
one to prevent problems that might be caused by their not matching.  Remember
you need to update Qt and aRts first.

You might have some issues with either 'from source' or a 'foreign' RPM with
getting KDM to work.  You need to know how the "Xsession" script works on your
system and how KDM is started from "init".  There is nothing really difficult
here but various distros do it differently.
