konqueror behavior

Im using kde-3.3.0.
In konqueror if i dont put www before the name of the site, konqueror doesnt 
go, and with mozilla theres no need to type www, anyway to put konqueror 
acting like mozilla ?

For example if i type kvirc.net konqueror doesnt go.

Any help?
