double associations in kde-3.3.0

Im using mandrake10.1 with kde-3.3.0
When running kcontrol and going to the file associations part i see that may 
files have double associations, for example for the association *.txt i see 
like this:

KWrite
KWrite
KEdit
KEdit
Kate
Kate

Whats wrong?
How can this be fixed?
