Konqueror 2 pane views

Hi,
I am trying to configure Konqueror for 2 pane file management, but it seems 
quite difficult to achieve :(

It seems that the side bar is treated differentlt to a left/right split view 
in that the side bar behaves more like I would expect :(

ie it stays rooted where it started and doesn't move.

You can achieve this with a left/right split but it's a bit fiddly, and once 
you set the URL and lock a panel you can't change the root URL (eg if I 
wanted to sftp browse another machine) without unlocking the view entering 
the URL and relocking.

Is there a solution, or is it a feature? :)
