konsole: enviroment inheritance

if I have a konsole open and then type "konsole &", I get a new console
that has the same environment as the first. Is there any way to open up
a new konsole session in the same window as the original with the same
environment? I can open up a new session obviously, but that gives me a
new environment back in my home directory.
