Difference between Italic and Bold Italic?

In Mozilla Mail, right click the address and chose: "Compose Mail To" in 
the context menu.

The common ones like Arial, Courier New, Times, Times New Roman, work 
correctly.  However, some do screw up.

Is it only specific fonts that don't work, or all of them?
