Konqueror unconsistentness with simple clicking

Hi,
I use Konqueror as my file manager, and I configured the mouse behavior
in KControl to double-click to open items (single click to select
things). While this works when Konqueror is in Icon view, it doesn't
work if it's in Detailed listed view (then single click opens the things
I click on).
Is this a known problem? [KDE 3.1.3 in Mandrake 9.2]
