new to KDE, settings questions

"default window manager" - I can have others then? 
Or maybe Kwin has this option hjidden somewhere: with Gnome's Sawfish it was
possible to resiz a window by middle-clicking the title bar. thats something
i'd like to have again. can Kwin do? or another KDE window manager?
