How to display subtitles with KMplayer using xine-lib ?

KDE-3.2.0b2, xine-lib-1-rc2, KMPlayer-0.8.1a

Browsing the web I have learned how to display the divx subtitles (.sub,
.srt) with MPlayer and Xine. But unfortunately not for KMPlayer using
xine-lib. Is it possible at all and how ?
