Howto add new documentation to khelpcenter?

Hi,
What should I do to add HTML-docs of non-kde Apps to khelpcenter? I had some
success by copying the .desktop file to my $KDEHOME/share/applnk directory
and adding a "DocPath" entry pointing to the docs to this .desktop file.
*But* this only works when the path to the docs is given relativ to
$KDEDIR/share/doc/html/de. So instead of
"/usr/doc/mplayer/documentation.html" I had to use
"../../../../../usr/doc/mplayer/documentation.html".

My question:
Is there a better way to do this, or should it work that way and it's a bug in
khelpcenter? There has to be a simple way to add docu to the khelpcenter. I
would consider it a bug if there's none.

Rainer
