KDE-Menus are weird?!

I changed the structure under "/usr/share/applnk" according to my needs. Then 
i symlinked the "/usr/kde/share/applnk" to "/usr/share/applnk".

But although, there's no other applnk-directory, kde does load the 
distributional menu, when logging in with a new user.
I have no idea, where it got it from. I use gentoo.

So what do i need to change, to change ALL menus at ONE point?
