Konsole cursor keys move scrollbar instead of browsing history

I suddenly have the strangest problem where using the up and down cursor 
keys in a Konsole window scrolls the contents of the window up and down 
instead of browsing through the shell history like it has always done. 
I've not changed anything in the Konsole settings nor any other keyboard 
related config files or anything.

Anyone any idea how to get back to "normal"?
