KMail, IMAP failure -- log?

I've got a fresh install of KDE, and when I configure KMail to access my IMAP 
server, It doesn't show me any folders (yes, I've subscribed folders).  

I don't get any error messages, just a single node in the tree.  I've compared 
it against a working copy of Kmail, and I can find no significatn difference.  
How can I go about "debugging" the configuration.  Is there a log setting 
somewhere?
