Kmail & SMTP (stopped working)

It works for me, too, on other systems.

I installed a "TCP proxy" and configured KMail to send it's SMTP to this
proxy.  KMail is connecting to the proxy, but not reading any data,
apparently (though again, this is not a 100% behavior, only about 95%).
