You're probably talking about 2.x, right? :) There was a big change 
regarding the command line parameters in 2.3x -> 2.40. The change in 2.50 
you're talking about was probably the implementation of Bayes, but that 
doesn't affect you're command line.

That's probably not a problem with the KMail integration, but your 
SpamAssassin installation. Have you tried checking a testmail at the 
command prompt? If it doesn't work, try the -D (debug) switch.

But this whole issue is probably better suited for the SpamAssassin-Talk 
mailinglist [1].
