Xcursors and KDE's hardwired cursors

I've recompiled QT so it doesn't override XFree86 4.3's Xcursors, but KDE 
still forces some cursor images that I'd prefer it didn't. Does anybody know 
what package I have to recompile and what patches to apply to stop KDE from 
overriding the default X (and hence Xcursor) cursor images?
