You didn't mention where the file was located (on your system, on the web, 
etc.).  Theoretically: %F will only work with files that are on your system 
and %U will also handle files on the web (any URL).  So normally an MP3 
player would use:

	xmms %U

which I find is what is on my system as created by KAppFinder.
