Anti-aliasing

FYI,
1.  AA only works with scalable (ie, not bitmap) fonts, like Type1
Postscript or TrueType fonts.
2.  On most/many(*) systems, helvetica and courier are bitmap fonts included
with X.

Hint: change your font prefs in Control Center to use different fonts.
