bind middle mouse button to "open in new tab"

At least in KDE 3.1.2 this is possible:
configure Konqueror, under Behavior "Open links in new tab instead of new 
window" and/or "Automatically activate new opened tabs"

BTW: This seems to become perennial, what about a faq entry?
