Network monitor applet? (also: KDE 3.1?)

I use kdevmon [ 
http://www.informatik.uni-oldenburg.de/~bigboss/kdevmon/index.html ], it's 
not currently maintained but I have no problems with it. You may also be 
interested in ksim [ http://ksim.sourceforge.net/ ].
