Kmail

I can't seem to find the spot where I can get Kmail to automatically check for 
new mail when I bring it up.   I have to manually ask it to check for new 
mail but afterwards it automatically checks for mail every 10 mins.  
It seems to me that there was a spot to tell it to do this automatically when 
Kmail was first brought up?  Was that feature removed? If not, any hints as 
to where I might find it..
