Slow CD ripping speeds.

This is probably not a KDE-related problem. Are DMA enabled on the 
CD-drive and your harddrive? Have you tried to rip the CD on another OS? 
Are you low on memory? Is the drivespeed set to other than 1x? Is some 
kind on errorcorrection enabled in cdparanoia?
