Star Trek Fonts!

I'm having a font problem with KDE 3.1.  
 
After attempting to set up anti-aliased TT fonts under Knoppix Debian unstable 
all of a sudden all of my fonts under KDE looked weird...sort of like a Star 
Trek font. I tried commenting out the TT font paths from the various /etc/X11 
config files and restarting X to no avail. I also removed my .kde dir, also 
to no avail. 
 
I'd like to get it back to normal. Help!
