Energy saving problem !

Hi !
I've just installed MDK 9.0 with KDE 3.0. If  I let the enregy saving fuction, 
the display is completely scrabled when I stop the screen saver. I tried to 
uncheck the energy saving function, but the same problem appears as soon as I 
click on OK or Apply ! I tried to change the resolution, but it didn't work. 
I'd nerver had this problem under KDE 2.2. What can I do ?

Screen : Relisys RE 786
Resolution : 1280 x 1024 
Video card : MSI GeForce 2 MX 400
