Random screensaver quit working

You described in your first mail, that you get a black, blank screen in random 
mode.
First, the "blank screen" screensaver is one of the randomly selected savers, 
so this can be a normal behaviour.
But you described, that you already removed the binary for this from your 
disk. What I see in the online help, the correct way to remove a screensaver 
from the available list is to rename its desktop file, which is located in 
$KDEDIR/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers
so that it does no longer end in .desktop.

Try to rename KBlankscreen.desktop, or simply try to use a specific 
screensaver and not "random" to check if at least that works.
