javascript doesn't work

Hi,
I cannot make javascript work in my konqueror. It just doing nothing.
As far as I remember it works fine originially, then I setup in konqueror
to disable javascript (in order to block pop-up windows). But after that
I can make it work again.
Any clue/suggestion.
I'm running RH9 with kde 3.1
