mouse cursor problem

I have actually had this same problem with SuSE 7.3, and I can say that it has
to do with your X configuration, and not KDE. Make it so that you have
software cursor enabled in your X configuration by simply adding this line to
your XF86Config, in the devices section:
Option "sw_cursor"
