crashes while opening home directory - linux

[venkataraman kabaleeswaran]

I am using kde on linux (mandrake 9.1).
Whenver I tried to open the home directory on the
desktop icon the whole system crashes. I am not sure 
what causes that.

any suggestion will be appreciated.
