KDM and .xsession

Yes, but that does not answerer your question.  The: "~/.xsession" is never directly 
executed by KDM.  It must be executed by your: "Xsession" script.  So, if your: "Xsession" 
script doesn't execute it then it isn't executed.  In my: "Xsession" script, you must 
choose: "Default" in the KDM login widget for: "~/.xsession" to be executed.

NOTE: some systems use: ".Xsession".
