I want to log in from KDM not from text-only consoles.

In my Xservers I have:
:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X
should I add
:1 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X
?
will it open to terminal 8 by default (since 1-7 are busy) ? and how do I open
it ? I mean, once one user is logged in, how do I return to kdm (without
logging out)?
Thanks.
