konqi's initial info page suddenly messed up

Actually, I found the culprit: I downgraded my nvidia driver from 4349
to 3123 and konqui is no longer messed up.  There is a bug report that
suggests that setting RenderAccel off might fix some problems with
4349, but I haven't tried that yet.
