Desktop sharing doesn't

I've been having a play with the desktop sharing feature in KDE-3.1.1. I have
a Windows box running the latest vncviewer which works fine with my Linux
machine when I start a new vncserver. But, of course, I want my regular KDE
desktop, not some twm thing... :o)

I go into the control panel and issue an invitation. It gives me the host
(192.168.1.3:0) and a password. I go to the Windows box and start the viewer,
and give it the host. Then the viewer closes and nothing more happens. I
don't get prompted for a password or anything.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? And if it's not too off topic, where does the
vncviewer under Windows put it's log?
